Ingredients
  

Clams
  • 1 pound fresh clams (littlenecks or cherrystones)
  • 2 cucchiai olive oil
  • 2 spicchi garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cucchiaino red pepper flakes optional
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
  • 2 cucchiai grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cucchiaio fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 Lemon wedges for serving

Method
 

  1. Rinse the clams under cold water to remove any sand or grit. Discard any that are open and do not close when tapped.
  2. In a medium bowl, mix olive oil, minced garlic, red pepper flakes, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, and chopped parsley until well combined.
  3. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 3 minutes.
  4. Stuff each clam with the breadcrumb mixture, pressing it down gently to adhere.
  5. Place the stuffed clams in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
  6. Cook for 6-8 minutes, or until the clams are cooked through and the topping is golden brown.
  7. Remove from the air fryer, let cool slightly, and serve with lemon wedges.

Notes

For a richer flavor, try adding a splash of white wine to the breadcrumb mixture before stuffing the clams. Serve with a side of crusty bread to soak up the delicious juices.
