Ingredients

Chicken Filling
  • 450 g ground chicken
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cucchiaino ginger, grated
  • 1 cucchiaino garam masala
  • 0.5 cucchiaino cumin
  • 0.5 cucchiaino coriander
  • 0.5 cucchiaino chili powder adjust to taste
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 15 ml oil
  • 8-10 small spring roll wrappers or samosa pastry
  • Cooking spray

Equipment

  • Air Fryer
  • Skillet

Method

  1. In a skillet over medium heat, heat the oil and sauté the onions until translucent, about 5 minutes. Add garlic and ginger; cook for another minute.
  2. Add ground chicken, garam masala, cumin, coriander, chili powder, salt, and pepper. Cook until the chicken is fully cooked, about 7-8 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
  3. Lay a spring roll wrapper on a clean surface. Place 1-2 tablespoons of the chicken mixture in the center. Fold the wrapper over to form a triangle and seal the edges with a little water. Repeat with remaining wrappers and filling.
  4. Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for 5 minutes.
  5. Lightly spray the samosas with cooking spray and place in a single layer in the air fryer basket, making sure they are not overcrowded.
  6. Cook for 10-15 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and crispy.

Notes

Ensure the samosas are sealed tightly to prevent filling from leaking during cooking. Serve with mint chutney or tamarind sauce for extra flavor.
