  • 20 oz crushed pineapple, with juice
  • 120 ml melted butter
  • 100 g shredded coconut
  • 8 oz whipped topping (for serving)

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a 9x13 inch baking dish, spread the crushed pineapple with juice evenly.
  3. Sprinkle the yellow cake mix evenly over the pineapple.
  4. Drizzle melted butter over the cake mix.
  5. Top with shredded coconut.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for about 40 minutes, or until golden brown.
  7. Let cool for at least 10 minutes before serving.
  8. Serve with whipped topping.

Notes

This cake is best served warm. You can add a scoop of vanilla ice cream for an extra treat. Swap shredded coconut with chopped nuts for a different texture.
