Ingredients

Strawberry Mojito
  • 60 g sliced strawberries about 2 large strawberries
  • 4 leaves fresh mint
  • 60 ml white rum
  • 1 tsp granulated sugar or to taste
  • 120 ml club soda enough to fill the glass

Equipment

  • Highball Glass
  • Muddler

Method

  1. Place the strawberries, mint, rum, and sugar in a highball glass. Muddle until the strawberries have released their juices and the sugar has dissolved– about 30 seconds.
  2. Top with club soda and garnish with fresh mint and a sliced strawberry.
  3. Enjoy immediately.

Notes

Although fresh strawberries are recommended, frozen can be used in a pinch. Avoid dried mint; fresh is best. You can experiment with basil or rosemary for a unique twist. Replace white rum with coconut rum for a tropical vibe or try vodka, gin, or tequila. Simple syrup can substitute sugar if preferred. A large spoon can be used if a muddler is unavailable. Add lime juice or bitters if it's too sweet, and consider a dark rum floater for added depth.
