Ingredients
  

Spaghetti
  • 1 pound spaghetti Cook to al dente
  • 4 quarts water For boiling
  • 2 tablespoons salt Plus more to taste
Garlic Oil
  • 60 ml olive oil For sautéing garlic
  • 6 cloves garlic, minced For flavor
  • 0.5 tsp red pepper flakes Optional, for heat
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley For garnish
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese Plus more for serving
Garlic Bread
  • 1 loaf Italian bread About 24 inches long
  • 226 g unsalted butter, softened 2 sticks
  • 8 cloves garlic, minced For garlic butter
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley For garlic butter
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese For garlic butter
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder Optional, for extra garlic flavor
  • to taste salt and freshly ground black pepper For seasoning

Method
 

  1. In a large pot, bring water to a boil. Add salt and spaghetti, cooking according to package instructions until al dente.
  2. In a separate pan, heat olive oil and sauté minced garlic and red pepper flakes until fragrant. Toss cooked spaghetti with garlic oil, parsley, and Parmesan cheese. Season with salt and pepper.
  3. For the garlic bread, preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Mix softened butter with minced garlic, parsley, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  4. Spread the garlic butter mixture on the cut sides of the Italian bread. Place on a baking sheet and bake for about 10-12 minutes until golden brown.

Notes

Serve the spaghetti with extra Parmesan cheese on top, and enjoy the garlic bread warm for the best flavor.
