Ingredients
  

Popcorn
  • 8 cups popped popcorn remove unpopped kernels
Red Velvet Cake Crumbs
  • 3 cups red velvet cake crumbs about 1/3 of a 9 x 13 cake
White Chocolate Coating
  • 22 oz white chocolate chips
  • 1 tbsp vegetable shortening Crisco

Method
 

  1. First pop your popcorn using an air popper or the stove. Alternatively, use microwave popcorn.
  2. Melt your white chocolate chips along with the Crisco in a double boiler on the stove.
  3. Transfer your popcorn to a large bowl, removing any unpopped kernels. Pour the melted chocolate over the popcorn and stir to coat completely.
  4. Pour the popcorn onto a waxed paper lined surface and sprinkle with red velvet crumbs. Turn the popcorn over with a spoon and sprinkle with crumbs again for desired coverage.
  5. Let the chocolate set before eating or packaging.

Notes

For a festive touch, consider adding some red food coloring to the white chocolate for extra red velvet flair.
