- Bake the yellow cake mix as directed on the package. Allow to cool slightly.
- Poke holes in the cake using the handle of a wooden spoon.
- Pour the warm crushed pineapple evenly over the cake, allowing it to soak in.
- In a bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth. Gradually add powdered sugar and mix well.
- Fold in the whipped topping until well combined.
- Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the pineapple-soaked cake.
- Refrigerate for at least 15 minutes before serving.
