Cake Base
  • 1 box yellow cake mix baked as directed
Pineapple Topping
  • 1 can crushed pineapple 20 oz, warm
Cheesecake Topping
  • 8 oz cream cheese softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 8 oz whipped topping

Method
 

  1. Bake the yellow cake mix as directed on the package. Allow to cool slightly.
  2. Poke holes in the cake using the handle of a wooden spoon.
  3. Pour the warm crushed pineapple evenly over the cake, allowing it to soak in.
  4. In a bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth. Gradually add powdered sugar and mix well.
  5. Fold in the whipped topping until well combined.
  6. Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the pineapple-soaked cake.
  7. Refrigerate for at least 15 minutes before serving.
