- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Sauté onions, bell peppers, mushrooms, and garlic until soft.
- In a large bowl, combine ground beef, sautéed vegetables, breadcrumbs, egg, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
- Fold in the shredded cheese, mixing gently.
- Press the mixture into a loaf pan. If desired, top with extra provolone slices.
- Bake in preheated oven for 50-60 minutes, or until cooked through. Let rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
Notes
Serve with mashed potatoes or a side salad for a complete meal. Leftovers make great sandwiches!
