  • 1 box orange cake mix
  • 1 package instant vanilla pudding mix 3.4 oz
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 120 ml vegetable oil
  • 4 large eggs
  • 120 ml orange juice
  • 1 g Zest of 1 orange
For the Creamy Glaze
  • 240 g powdered sugar
  • 60 ml orange juice
  • 0.5 tsp vanilla extract

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
  2. In a large bowl, mix together the orange cake mix, instant vanilla pudding mix, sour cream, vegetable oil, eggs, orange juice, and orange zest until well combined.
  3. Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  4. Allow the cake to cool for 15 minutes, then use a fork to poke holes all over the cake.
  5. In a medium bowl, whisk together the powdered sugar, orange juice, and vanilla extract until smooth. Pour the glaze evenly over the cake.
  6. Let the cake cool completely, allowing the glaze to set before serving.

Notes

For an extra burst of flavor, consider adding a scoop of vanilla ice cream when serving. The cake is delicious either chilled or at room temperature.
