Ingredients
  

For the Dough
  • 240 ml warm milk (110°F/45°C)
  • 2.5 tsp instant yeast
  • 50 g granulated sugar
  • 60 g unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 large egg
  • 440 g all-purpose flour
For the Filling
  • 120 g unsalted butter, softened
  • 150 g brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp ground cinnamon
For the Glaze
  • 120 g powdered sugar
  • 30 ml milk
  • 0.5 tsp vanilla extract

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  2. In a large bowl, mix warm milk, yeast, and sugar. Let sit for 5 minutes until foamy.
  3. Add melted butter, salt, and egg. Gradually mix in flour until a soft dough forms. Knead for 5 minutes until smooth.
  4. Roll dough into a 12x18-inch rectangle. Spread softened butter evenly over the dough, then sprinkle with brown sugar and cinnamon.
  5. Roll tightly from the long side and cut into 12 equal rolls. Place in prepared baking dish.
  6. Let rise for 15 minutes in a warm place, then bake for 20-22 minutes until golden brown.
  7. Whisk glaze ingredients together and drizzle over warm rolls. Serve fresh!

Notes

Use dental floss to cut perfect cinnamon rolls without squishing them. For extra gooey rolls, pour a little heavy cream over them before baking.
