- In a mixing bowl, beat together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth and creamy.
- Add the milk and vanilla extract, then mix until well combined.
- Gradually add the heat-treated flour and salt, mixing until a soft dough forms.
- Fold in the chocolate chips evenly.
- Line a loaf pan with parchment paper and press the cookie dough mixture evenly into the pan. Smooth out the top and refrigerate for 20 minutes.
- In a small saucepan, heat the heavy cream until warm but not boiling. Remove from heat and pour over the chocolate chips. Let sit for a minute, then stir until smooth and glossy.
- Pour the chocolate ganache over the chilled cookie dough, spreading it evenly. Sprinkle extra chocolate chips on top.
- Refrigerate for at least 1 hour or until firm. Once set, slice into bars and enjoy!
