Ingredients
  

For the Cookie Dough
  • 113 g unsalted butter, softened
  • 110 g brown sugar
  • 50 g granulated sugar
  • 30 ml milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 190 g all-purpose flour (heat-treated)
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 175 g chocolate chips
For the Chocolate Topping
  • 265 g semisweet chocolate chips
  • 120 ml heavy cream
  • 50 g Extra chocolate chips for garnish

Method
 

  1. In a mixing bowl, beat together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth and creamy.
  2. Add the milk and vanilla extract, then mix until well combined.
  3. Gradually add the heat-treated flour and salt, mixing until a soft dough forms.
  4. Fold in the chocolate chips evenly.
  5. Line a loaf pan with parchment paper and press the cookie dough mixture evenly into the pan. Smooth out the top and refrigerate for 20 minutes.
  6. In a small saucepan, heat the heavy cream until warm but not boiling. Remove from heat and pour over the chocolate chips. Let sit for a minute, then stir until smooth and glossy.
  7. Pour the chocolate ganache over the chilled cookie dough, spreading it evenly. Sprinkle extra chocolate chips on top.
  8. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour or until firm. Once set, slice into bars and enjoy!

For best results, ensure the flour is heat-treated to eliminate any bacteria. These bars are great for sharing at gatherings or as a treat for yourself.
