  • 2 pieces boneless skinless chicken breasts Ensure they are cooked thoroughly
  • 1 tbsp olive oil Use for coating the chicken
  • 1 tsp garlic powder Adds flavor to the chicken
  • 1 tsp paprika For a smoky flavor
  • 0.5 tsp salt Adjust to taste
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper Add to taste
Sandwich Assembly
  • 2 pieces ripe avocados Slice them just before assembly
  • 0.5 lemon Juice of Prevents avocado from browning
  • 4 slices cheese (cheddar, provolone, or mozzarella) Choose your favorite cheese
  • 1 large tomato, sliced Adds freshness to the sandwich

  • 8 slices hearty bread (sourdough, ciabatta, or whole grain) Toast if desired for extra crunch
Creamy Sandwich Sauce
  • 0.5 cup mayonnaise Base for the sandwich sauce
  • 1 clove garlic, finely minced Adds a punch to the sauce
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice Balances the flavors

Method
 

  1. Preheat the grill or skillet over medium heat.
  2. In a bowl, mix olive oil, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Coat the chicken breasts with the mixture.
  3. Cook the chicken for 6-8 minutes on each side until fully cooked. Remove and let it rest.
  4. While the chicken cools, prepare the creamy sandwich sauce by mixing mayonnaise, minced garlic, lemon juice, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
  5. Toast the bread slices on the grill or in a toaster if desired.
  6. Slice the cooked chicken and assemble the sandwiches with bread, chicken, avocado, cheese, tomato, lettuce, and sauce.
  7. Top with another slice of bread and serve.
