Ingredients
  

Chicken
  • 4 pieces boneless, skinless chicken thighs
Marinade
  • 60 ml soy sauce
  • 60 g brown sugar
  • 60 ml pineapple juice
  • 30 ml ketchup
  • 30 ml vegetable oil
  • 15 g minced fresh ginger
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 15 ml rice vinegar
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper
Garnish
  • 1 piece green onion, chopped for garnish
  • to taste Sesame seeds for garnish, optional

Method
 

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine soy sauce, brown sugar, pineapple juice, ketchup, vegetable oil, ginger, garlic, rice vinegar, and black pepper.
  2. Add the chicken thighs to the marinade, cover, and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
  3. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. Remove chicken from marinade and discard the marinade.
  4. Grill the chicken for about 5-7 minutes on each side or until fully cooked.
  5. Garnish with chopped green onion and sesame seeds before serving.

Notes

For a more intense flavor, marinate the chicken overnight. Serve with rice or grilled vegetables for a complete meal.
