  • 450 g lean ground beef Use lean beef for less grease
  • 30 g butter For sautéing the vegetables
  • 1 small yellow onion, diced Adds sweetness and flavor

  • 30 g ketchup Adds tanginess
  • 240 ml beef broth For a rich, savory base

  • 6 brioche hamburger buns Buttery and soft, perfect for sandwiches

Method
 

  1. Brown the lean ground beef in a hot pan. Once browned, remove and set aside.
  2. In the same pan, melt butter and sauté diced onions, bell peppers, and mushrooms until browned.
  3. Mix beef broth, ketchup, salt, and pepper in a bowl; pour into sautéed veggies and simmer until thickened.
  4. Return the beef to the pan and mix well.
  5. Turn off heat and stir in provolone cheese until melted.
  6. Butter and toast brioche buns separately until golden.
  7. Fill toasted buns with the cheesy beef mixture and serve warm.

Notes

To make it spicier, add some jalapenos or hot sauce to the beef mixture.
