  • 1000 ml chicken broth Low sodium if preferred
  • 500 ml water Used for cooking ramen
  • 3 packs ramen noodles Discard the seasoning packets
  • 240 ml heavy cream For a creamy texture
  • 4 cloves garlic Minced for flavor
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil For sautéing
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce Adds umami flavor
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch Mixed with water for thickening
  • 2 tablespoons water For mixing with cornstarch
  • 1 tsp ginger Grated for aroma
  • 1 tsp red pepper flakes Optional, for heat
  • to taste Salt and pepper For seasoning
  • 2 pieces green onions Sliced for garnish
  • to taste Fresh cilantro Optional, for garnish
  • as needed Vegetables of your choice Such as spinach, bok choy, bell peppers

Method
 

  1. In a pot, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and grated ginger, sauté until fragrant.
  2. Add chicken breasts to the pot and cook until browned. Pour in chicken broth and water, bring to a boil.
  3. Add ramen noodles and cook according to package instructions.
  4. Stir in heavy cream, soy sauce, and cornstarch mixture. Cook until the sauce thickens.
  5. Season with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes if desired. Serve hot and garnish with green onions and cilantro.

Notes

For a more robust flavor, marinate the chicken in soy sauce and ginger for 30 minutes before cooking.
