  • 240 g all-purpose flour
  • 200 g granulated sugar
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 2 large eggs Use room temperature eggs
  • 240 ml buttermilk Substitute with milk and vinegar if needed
  • 120 g unsalted butter, melted Cool slightly before mixing
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
Topping Ingredients
  • 50 g granulated sugar
  • 2 tsp ground cinnamon

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, mix flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, whisk eggs, buttermilk, melted butter, and vanilla.
  4. Combine wet and dry ingredients until just mixed.
  5. Pour batter into a greased loaf pan.
  6. Mix topping ingredients and sprinkle over the batter.
  7. Bake for 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Allow to cool before slicing.
