Method
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the dry ingredients: flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, whisk together the wet ingredients: oil, eggs, vanilla extract, and milk.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
- Fold in the chopped cherries and chocolate chips.
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
- Bake for 50 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Let it cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
For an extra burst of flavor, add a handful of nuts or a sprinkle of cinnamon to the batter.
