Ingredients

Meat and Vegetables
  • 680 g thinly sliced sirloin steak Use a good quality steak for best flavor
  • 1 green bell pepper, sliced Remove seeds before slicing
  • 1 medium onion, sliced Use a sweet onion for added flavor
  • 227 g mushrooms, sliced Button or cremini mushrooms work well
  • 2 tbsp olive oil Extra virgin preferred
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced Fresh garlic is best
  • 113 g cream cheese Softened for easy mixing
  • 8-10 slices provolone cheese Adjust quantity based on preference
  • Salt & black pepper, to taste Season as desired
  • Fresh parsley for topping Chop finely for garnish

Equipment

  • Large Skillet

Method

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the steak, season with salt and pepper, and cook until nicely browned.
  2. Add the onions, bell pepper, mushrooms, and garlic. Cook for about 5–7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the vegetables are tender and the steak is cooked through.
  3. Stir in the cream cheese until everything is creamy and well combined.
  4. Spread the mixture evenly in the skillet and cover the top with provolone slices. Cover and cook for 2–3 minutes, until the cheese is completely melted and gooey.
  5. Sprinkle with fresh parsley and a little black pepper. Serve hot and enjoy those cheesy pulls!

Notes

This dish is best served hot right from the skillet. Feel free to add your favorite hot sauce for a spicy kick!
