Ingredients
  

Steak Preparation
  • 2 pieces ribeye steaks about 1 inch thick
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp butter unsalted preferred
  • 3 pieces garlic cloves smashed
  • 2 sprigs rosemary fresh
  • 1 tsp salt to taste
  • 1 tsp black pepper freshly ground

Method
 

  1. Pat steaks dry and season generously with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat a cast-iron skillet over high heat. Add olive oil.
  3. Sear steaks for 3–4 minutes per side until deeply browned.
  4. Add butter, garlic, and rosemary. Tilt the pan and spoon the melted butter over the steaks for 1–2 minutes.
  5. Cook to your preferred doneness, then rest for 5–10 minutes.
  6. Slice and serve with the buttery pan juices.

Notes

Let the steaks sit at room temperature for about 20–30 minutes before cooking for more even searing.
