Ingredients
  

Apple Mixture
  • 3 g small Granny Smith apples peeled, cored, and diced small
  • 120 g light brown sugar packed
  • 1 tbsp ground cinnamon
Batter
  • 133 g granulated sugar
  • 113 g unsalted butter 1 stick, room temperature
  • 2 large eggs room temperature
  • 120 ml whole milk room temperature
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 190 g all-purpose flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 0.5 tsp kosher salt
  • 60 ml caramel sauce for drizzling

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the diced apples, brown sugar, and cinnamon. Set aside.
  3. In another bowl, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and eggs until light and fluffy.
  4. Add the milk and vanilla extract, mixing well.
  5. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  6. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
  7. Fold in the apple mixture until evenly distributed.
  8. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
  9. Bake for 50 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  10. Allow to cool slightly, then drizzle with caramel sauce before serving.
