Ingredients
  

Pasta
  • 340 g spaghetti boil until just tender, then drain
Sauce
  • 454 g ground beef brown with onion
  • 1 small onion, diced cook with beef
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced add to beef and onion
  • 710 ml pasta sauce stir into beef mixture
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning add to sauce
Cheese
  • 170 g shredded mozzarella for layering
  • 120 g ricotta for layering
  • 50 g Parmesan for layering
Seasoning
  • 1 tsp Salt & pepper to taste season the sauce as needed

Method
 

  1. Boil spaghetti until just tender. Drain and set aside.
  2. Brown the beef and onion in a skillet. Drain the grease, add garlic, then stir in pasta sauce and Italian seasoning. Simmer for 5–10 minutes.
  3. Mix spaghetti with some sauce. Spread half in a greased 9×13-inch baking dish. Add ricotta, meat sauce, mozzarella, and Parmesan. Repeat and finish with plenty of cheese.
  4. Cover with foil and bake at 375°F for 20 minutes. Remove the foil and bake another 10–15 minutes, until golden and bubbly. Let it rest for 5–10 minutes, then slice and serve!

Notes

This dish can be prepared ahead and baked later. It pairs well with a green salad and garlic bread.
