Ingredients

Steak Bites
  • 1.5 lb sirloin or ribeye cut into bite-size cubes
  • 8 slices bacon cut in half
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar adds a caramelized glaze
  • 1 tsp garlic powder for a savory kick
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika adds a smoky flavor
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper for seasoning
  • 0.5 tsp salt to taste
  • 1 tbsp olive oil for cooking

Equipment

  • Cast Iron Skillet
  • Toothpicks

Method

  1. Cut steak into bite-size cubes and pat dry.
  2. Wrap each steak cube with half a slice of bacon and secure with a toothpick.
  3. Mix brown sugar, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Sprinkle over the steak bites.
  4. Heat a cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat with olive oil.
  5. Cook steak bites for about 2–3 minutes per side, turning until the bacon is crispy and the steak reaches your preferred doneness.
  6. Remove from the skillet and rest for 5 minutes. Serve warm.

Notes

For extra-crispy bacon, place the cooked steak bites under the broiler for 1–2 minutes.
