Ingredients

Taro Root
  • 450 g taro root
  • 15 ml olive oil
  • 1 cucchiaino salt
  • 1 cucchiaino garlic powder optional
  • 0.5 cucchiaino black pepper optional

Equipment

  • Air Fryer

Method

  1. Peel the taro root and cut it into 1-inch cubes.
  2. In a mixing bowl, toss the taro cubes with olive oil, salt, garlic powder, and black pepper until evenly coated.
  3. Preheat the air fryer to 375°F for 5 minutes.
  4. Place the seasoned taro cubes in the air fryer basket in a single layer (work in batches if necessary).
  5. Cook for 15 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through for even cooking.
  6. Check for doneness; the taro should be tender and lightly golden. If needed, cook for an additional 5-10 minutes.
  7. Remove from the air fryer and serve hot.

Notes

Allow the taro root to cool for a few minutes before serving, as it can retain heat and be quite hot inside.
