  • 450 g squid, cleaned and cut into rings
  • 120 g all-purpose flour
  • 0.5 cucchiaino salt
  • 0.25 cucchiaino black pepper
  • 0.5 cucchiaino paprika
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • 100 g panko breadcrumbs
  • Cooking spray or olive oil spray

Method
 

  1. In a bowl, mix the flour, salt, pepper, and paprika.
  2. Dip each squid ring into the flour mixture, shaking off excess.
  3. Next, dip the floured squid into the beaten egg, ensuring it is fully coated.
  4. Finally, coat each squid ring with panko breadcrumbs, pressing gently to adhere.
  5. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F for 5 minutes.
  6. Arrange the squid rings in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Spray lightly with cooking spray.
  7. Cook for 8-10 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through, until golden brown and crispy.
  8. Remove from the air fryer and serve immediately with your choice of dipping sauce.

Notes

For extra flavor, marinate the squid in lemon juice, garlic, and herbs for 30 minutes before breading. Serve with a side of lemon wedges or your favorite dipping sauce for an added zest.
