- Peel the plantains by cutting off the ends and making a lengthwise slit in the skin. Remove the skin and slice the plantains into ½-inch thick diagonal pieces.
- In a mixing bowl, toss the plantain slices with olive oil, salt, and paprika (if using) until evenly coated.
- Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 5 minutes.
- Place the plantain slices in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Avoid overcrowding for even cooking.
- Cook at 400°F for 6 minutes. After 6 minutes, shake the basket to turn the plantains for even cooking.
- Continue cooking for an additional 6 minutes or until the plantains are golden brown and crispy.
Notes
For extra crispiness, you can spray a light mist of olive oil on the plantains halfway through the cooking time.
