- Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 5 minutes.
- In a bowl, toss the cleaned mussels with olive oil, minced garlic, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper.
- Add the white wine (or chicken broth) to the bowl and mix well.
- Place the mussels in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
- Cook for 8 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through to ensure even cooking.
- Once cooked, remove the mussels and garnish with fresh parsley. Serve with lemon wedges on the side.
Notes
Ensure the mussels are closed before cooking; discard any that remain open after cooking. Mussels pair wonderfully with crusty bread to soak up the delicious juices.
