- Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the malanga cubes, olive oil, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Toss until evenly coated.
- Place the malanga cubes in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Avoid overcrowding for even cooking.
- Cook for 15 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through to promote even browning.
- After 15 minutes, check for tenderness. If needed, cook for an additional 5-10 minutes until golden brown and fork-tender.
- Remove from the air fryer and let cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
For extra crispiness, spray the malanga with a little more olive oil halfway through the cooking time. Serve as a side dish or enjoy as a crispy snack.
