Ingredients
  

Malanga Preparation
  • 450 g malanga, peeled and cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 30 ml olive oil
  • 1 cucchiaino salt
  • 0.5 cucchiaino black pepper
  • 1 cucchiaino garlic powder optional

Method
 

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the malanga cubes, olive oil, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Toss until evenly coated.
  3. Place the malanga cubes in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Avoid overcrowding for even cooking.
  4. Cook for 15 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through to promote even browning.
  5. After 15 minutes, check for tenderness. If needed, cook for an additional 5-10 minutes until golden brown and fork-tender.
  6. Remove from the air fryer and let cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

For extra crispiness, spray the malanga with a little more olive oil halfway through the cooking time. Serve as a side dish or enjoy as a crispy snack.
