Method
- Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
- Rinse the mackerel under cold water and pat dry with paper towels.
- In a small bowl, mix olive oil, salt, black pepper, smoked paprika, and minced garlic.
- Rub the oil mixture inside and outside the mackerel, ensuring they are well coated.
- Place the mackerel in the air fryer basket, making sure they are not overlapping.
- Cook for 10 minutes, then flip the mackerel and cook for an additional 5 minutes, or until the fish is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
- Remove from the air fryer and serve with lemon wedges.
Notes
For extra crispiness, you can increase the temperature to 400°F for the last 2 minutes of cooking.
