  • 2 whole herring, cleaned and scaled about 6-8 oz each
  • 2 cucchiai olive oil
  • 1 cucchiaino salt
  • 0.5 cucchiaino black pepper
  • 1 cucchiaino paprika
  • 1 whole lemon, sliced

Method
 

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 380°F (190°C).
  2. Rinse the herring under cold water and pat dry with paper towels.
  3. In a small bowl, mix olive oil, salt, pepper, and paprika.
  4. Rub the spice mixture all over the herring, inside and out.
  5. Place the herring in the air fryer basket, ensuring they are not overlapping.
  6. Cook for 12 minutes, flipping halfway through for even cooking.
  7. Serve hot, garnished with lemon slices.

Notes

For extra flavor, you can stuff the herring with fresh herbs like parsley or dill before cooking.
