- Peel the potatoes and cut them into 1/4-inch thick fries.
- Soak the cut fries in cold water for at least 10 minutes to remove excess starch, then drain and pat them dry with a kitchen towel.
- In a large bowl, toss the dried fries with olive oil, salt, pepper, and any optional seasonings until evenly coated.
- Preheat the air fryer to 400°F for 5 minutes.
- Place the fries in the air fryer basket in a single layer, being careful not to overcrowd. You may need to cook in batches.
- Cook the fries at 400°F for 15-20 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through cooking for even crispiness.
- Once golden brown and crispy, remove the fries and serve immediately.
Notes
For extra crispiness, consider spraying the fries lightly with cooking spray before air frying. Serve with your favorite dipping sauce for added flavor.
