Ingredients

Fish
  • 450 g white fish fillets (such as cod or tilapia)
  • 240 g cornmeal
  • 1 cucchiaino paprika
  • 1 cucchiaino garlic powder
  • 1 cucchiaino onion powder
  • 0.5 cucchiaino cayenne pepper (optional)
  • 0.5 cucchiaino salt
  • 0.5 cucchiaino black pepper
  • 15 ml olive oil
  • 8 pieces small corn tortillas
  • 100 g shredded cabbage
  • 120 g diced tomatoes
  • 15 g chopped cilantro
  • 1 pieces Lime wedges (for serving)
  • 1 pieces Your choice of hot sauce (optional)

Equipment

  • Air Fryer

Method

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes.
  2. In a shallow bowl, mix cornmeal, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper.
  3. Pat the fish fillets dry with paper towels and brush both sides with olive oil.
  4. Dredge each fish fillet in the cornmeal mixture, pressing gently to coat.
  5. Place the coated fish fillets in the air fryer basket in a single layer (you may need to cook in batches).
  6. Air fry at 400°F for 8-10 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the fish is golden and cooked through.
  7. While the fish cooks, warm the corn tortillas in a dry skillet over medium heat for about 30 seconds on each side.
  8. Assemble the tacos by placing pieces of the cooked fish on each tortilla, then top with shredded cabbage, diced tomatoes, and cilantro.
  9. Serve with lime wedges and hot sauce, if desired.

Notes

For added flavor, marinate the fish in lime juice and spices for 15 minutes before coating and air frying.
