Method
- Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
- Trim the tops and bottoms of the fennel bulbs, then slice them into wedges (about 1-inch thick).
- In a large bowl, toss the fennel wedges with olive oil, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and dried thyme (if using) until well coated.
- Place the fennel wedges in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Avoid overcrowding; work in batches if necessary.
- Air fry for 12-15 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through, until the fennel is tender and slightly caramelized.
- Remove from the air fryer and serve immediately.
Notes
For added flavor, squeeze fresh lemon juice over the fennel just before serving.
