  • 16 canned escargot (snails), drained
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 tablespoons garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • 0.5 cucchiaino salt
  • 0.25 cucchiaino black pepper
  • 0.25 cucchiaino lemon juice
  • 16 small pastry shells or hollowed-out mushroom caps (optional) Optional for serving

Method
 

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine softened butter, minced garlic, chopped parsley, salt, black pepper, and lemon juice. Mix until well combined.
  2. Place the escargot in a small baking dish or individual pastry shells, if using. Spoon the garlic butter mixture evenly over each escargot.
  3. Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for about 5 minutes.
  4. Place the dish or pastry shells in the air fryer basket. Cook for 8 minutes, until the butter is bubbling and the escargot are heated through.
  5. Carefully remove from the air fryer and let cool for a minute before serving.

Notes

Serve with crusty bread to soak up the garlic butter. You can substitute mushroom caps for pastry shells for a low-carb option.
