Ingredients
  

Eel Fillets
  • 2 fillets eel fillets approximately 6 oz each
  • 2 cucchiai soy sauce
  • 1 cucchiaio honey
  • 1 cucchiaino sesame oil
  • 1 spicchio garlic, minced
  • 1 cucchiaino grated ginger
  • 1 cucchiaino salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cucchiaino sesame seeds for garnish optional

Method
 

  1. In a small bowl, mix together soy sauce, honey, sesame oil, garlic, and ginger to create a marinade.
  2. Place the eel fillets in a shallow dish and pour the marinade over them, ensuring they are well coated. Let marinate for at least 10 minutes.
  3. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 5 minutes.
  4. Remove the eel from the marinade and season with salt and pepper. Discard the remaining marinade.
  5. Place the eel fillets in the air fryer basket in a single layer, skin-side down if applicable.
  6. Air fry the eel fillets at 400°F (200°C) for 8-10 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the fish is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
  7. Remove from the air fryer and let rest for a minute. Garnish with sesame seeds if desired.

Notes

For best results, adjust the cooking time based on the thickness of the eel fillets. Serve with a side of steamed rice or a fresh salad for a complete meal.
