Ingredients

Crab Cakes
  • 450 g lump crab meat, drained and picked for shells
  • 120 g breadcrumbs (preferably panko)
  • 60 ml mayonnaise
  • 1 large egg
  • 15 ml Dijon mustard
  • 15 ml Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 cucchiaino Old Bay seasoning
  • 60 ml green onions, finely chopped
  • 1 cucchiaino Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Cooking spray

Equipment

  • Air Fryer

Method

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the crab meat, breadcrumbs, mayonnaise, egg, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, Old Bay seasoning, and green onions. Mix gently to combine without breaking up the crab meat too much. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  2. Form the mixture into 8 equal-sized patties, about 1/2 inch thick.
  3. Preheat the air fryer to 375°F for 5 minutes.
  4. Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray to prevent sticking.
  5. Place the crab cakes in the air fryer basket in a single layer, making sure they are not touching. You may need to cook in batches.
  6. Air fry the crab cakes at 375°F for 10 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and crispy.
  7. Carefully remove the crab cakes and serve hot.

Notes

For extra crispiness, lightly spray the tops of the crab cakes with cooking spray before air frying. Serve with a lemon wedge or your favorite dipping sauce.
