Ingredients
  

Chicken Coating
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts about 1.5 lbs
  • 1 cup sunflower seeds
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs (preferably panko)
  • 75 g all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cucchiaino garlic powder
  • 1 cucchiaino onion powder
  • 1 cucchiaino paprika
  • 1 cucchiaino salt to taste
  • 1 cucchiaino pepper to taste

Method
 

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 380°F (193°C).
  2. In a shallow bowl, mix the flour with garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  3. In a second bowl, beat the eggs.
  4. In a third bowl, combine sunflower seeds and breadcrumbs.
  5. Dip each chicken breast first in the flour mixture, then in the beaten eggs, and finally in the sunflower seed mixture, pressing gently to adhere.
  6. Place the coated chicken breasts in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Spray lightly with cooking spray.
  7. Cook at 380°F for 10 minutes, then flip the chicken breasts, spray again with cooking spray, and cook for an additional 10 minutes until golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature should reach 165°F).
  8. Remove from the air fryer and let rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

For extra crunch, increase the cooking time by 2-3 minutes, checking for doneness. Serve with a side salad or your favorite dipping sauce.
