Ingredients
  

Chicken and Seasoning
  • 454 g chicken breast, diced
  • 1 cucchiaino garlic powder
  • 1 cucchiaino onion powder
  • 1 cucchiaino paprika
  • 1 cucchiaino salt
  • 0.5 cucchiaino black pepper
Spätzle and Cheese
  • 2 cups fresh spätzle (store-bought or homemade)
  • 30 ml olive oil
  • 100 g shredded cheese (Swiss or Gruyère)
  • 10 g fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Method
 

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine diced chicken, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Toss to coat evenly.
  3. Add the olive oil to the chicken mixture and stir until the chicken is well coated.
  4. Place the seasoned chicken in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Cook for 8 minutes.
  5. While the chicken is cooking, prepare the spätzle according to package instructions if using store-bought.
  6. After 8 minutes, shake the basket and add the cooked spätzle to the chicken. Toss gently to combine.
  7. Cook for an additional 5 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through.
  8. Sprinkle the shredded cheese over the chicken and spätzle. Cook for another 2 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  9. Remove from the air fryer, garnish with fresh parsley, and serve immediately.

Notes

For extra flavor, marinate the chicken for 30 minutes before cooking. This dish pairs well with a fresh green salad.
