- In a bowl, mix soy sauce, sesame oil, honey, garlic, ginger, salt, and pepper.
- Add chicken thighs to the marinade, ensuring they are well coated. Marinate for at least 10 minutes.
- After marinating, remove chicken from the marinade and sprinkle cornstarch evenly over the thighs.
- Preheat the air fryer to 400°F for 5 minutes.
- Place the chicken thighs in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Cook at 400°F for 10 minutes.
- After 10 minutes, flip the chicken and sprinkle sesame seeds on top. Cook for an additional 10 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
- Remove chicken from the air fryer and let it rest for a few minutes before slicing. Garnish with chopped green onions, if desired.
Notes
For extra crunch, toss the chicken in a bit more sesame seeds before air frying. This dish pairs well with steamed rice or a fresh salad.
