- Cook the penne pasta according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a mixing bowl, combine chicken pieces, olive oil, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Toss to coat evenly.
- Preheat the air fryer to 380°F (193°C) for 5 minutes.
- Place the seasoned chicken in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Cook for 10 minutes, shaking halfway through.
- After 10 minutes, add the cooked pasta and marinara sauce to the chicken in the air fryer. Stir gently to combine.
- Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese on top and cook for an additional 5-7 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Remove from the air fryer, garnish with fresh basil if desired, and serve immediately.
Notes
Marinating the chicken in olive oil and seasonings for 30 minutes before cooking can enhance the flavors.
