Method
- Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
- Season the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and Italian herbs.
- Set up a breading station: Place the flour in one shallow dish, whisk the eggs in a second dish, and mix the breadcrumbs with Parmesan cheese in a third dish.
- Dredge each chicken breast in flour, then dip it in the eggs, and finally coat it with the breadcrumb mixture, pressing gently to adhere.
- Spray the air fryer basket with olive oil spray. Place the breaded chicken breasts in the basket in a single layer, making sure they are not touching.
- Air fry for 10 minutes. After 10 minutes, flip the chicken breasts and air fry for an additional 2 minutes.
- Spoon marinara sauce over each chicken breast and sprinkle with mozzarella cheese. Air fry for an additional 2 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Remove from the air fryer and let rest for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
For extra crispiness, you can spray the tops of the chicken with olive oil before air frying. Serve with a side salad or pasta for a complete meal.
