Ingredients
  

Chicken
  • 4 pieces boneless, skinless chicken breasts about 6 oz each
Breading Station
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs preferably Italian-style
  • 0.5 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Toppings
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
Seasonings
  • 1 cucchiaino garlic powder
  • 1 cucchiaino dried Italian herbs
  • 1 cucchiaino salt to taste
  • 1 cucchiaino pepper to taste
  • 1 ml olive oil spray for spraying

Method
 

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Season the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and Italian herbs.
  3. Set up a breading station: Place the flour in one shallow dish, whisk the eggs in a second dish, and mix the breadcrumbs with Parmesan cheese in a third dish.
  4. Dredge each chicken breast in flour, then dip it in the eggs, and finally coat it with the breadcrumb mixture, pressing gently to adhere.
  5. Spray the air fryer basket with olive oil spray. Place the breaded chicken breasts in the basket in a single layer, making sure they are not touching.
  6. Air fry for 10 minutes. After 10 minutes, flip the chicken breasts and air fry for an additional 2 minutes.
  7. Spoon marinara sauce over each chicken breast and sprinkle with mozzarella cheese. Air fry for an additional 2 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  8. Remove from the air fryer and let rest for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

For extra crispiness, you can spray the tops of the chicken with olive oil before air frying. Serve with a side salad or pasta for a complete meal.
