Ingredients
  

Chicken
  • 450 g boneless, skinless chicken breasts
Coating Mixture
  • 120 g hemp hearts
  • 60 g breadcrumbs (panko preferred)
  • 0.5 cucchiaino garlic powder
  • 0.5 cucchiaino onion powder
  • 0.5 cucchiaino paprika
  • 1 cucchiaino salt and pepper to taste
Egg Mixture
  • 1 large egg
  • 30 ml olive oil

Method
 

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a shallow bowl, combine hemp hearts, breadcrumbs, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  3. In another bowl, beat the egg and add olive oil, mixing well.
  4. Cut chicken breasts into strips or bite-sized pieces.
  5. Dip each piece of chicken into the egg mixture, allowing excess to drip off, then coat with the hemp heart mixture, pressing gently to adhere.
  6. Place the coated chicken pieces in the air fryer basket in a single layer, ensuring they are not overcrowded.
  7. Cook for 10 minutes, then flip the chicken pieces and cook for an additional 8 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through.
  8. Remove from the air fryer and let rest for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

For extra crispiness, spray the coated chicken lightly with cooking spray before air frying. Serve with your favorite dipping sauce.
