Ingredients
  

Chicken
  • 454 g boneless, skinless chicken breasts
Coating
  • 125 g ground flax seeds
  • 125 g breadcrumbs (panko or regular)
  • 1 cucchiaino garlic powder
  • 1 cucchiaino onion powder
  • 0.5 cucchiaino paprika
  • 0.5 cucchiaino salt
  • 0.25 cucchiaino black pepper
Other
  • 1 large egg beaten
  • 15 ml olive oil optional, for extra crispiness

Method
 

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes.
  2. In a shallow bowl, combine ground flax seeds, breadcrumbs, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
  3. In another bowl, beat the egg. Dip each chicken breast into the egg, allowing excess to drip off, then coat evenly with the flax seed mixture.
  4. Lightly spray or brush the coated chicken with olive oil for added crispiness (optional).
  5. Place the coated chicken breasts in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Do not overcrowd; cook in batches if necessary.
  6. Cook at 400°F for 10 minutes. Flip the chicken and cook for an additional 10 minutes, or until the chicken is golden brown and reaches an internal temperature of 165°F.
  7. Remove the chicken from the air fryer and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

For extra flavor, marinate the chicken in your favorite seasoning or sauce for 30 minutes before coating. Serve with a side of fresh salad or steamed vegetables.
