Ingredients
  

Catfish Fillets
  • 4 fillets catfish fillets about 6 ounces each
  • 240 ml buttermilk
  • 150 g cornmeal
  • 1 cucchiaino paprika
  • 1 cucchiaino garlic powder
  • 1 cucchiaino onion powder
  • 0.5 cucchiaino cayenne pepper optional
  • 1 cucchiaino salt
  • 0.5 cucchiaino black pepper
  • 1 spray cooking spray

Method
 

  1. In a shallow bowl, soak catfish fillets in buttermilk for 10 minutes.
  2. In another bowl, combine cornmeal, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper (if using), salt, and black pepper.
  3. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (about 5 minutes).
  4. Remove catfish from buttermilk, letting excess drip off, then dredge each fillet in the cornmeal mixture, pressing gently to adhere.
  5. Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray.
  6. Place the coated catfish fillets in the basket in a single layer, making sure they do not overlap.
  7. Cook at 400°F for 12 minutes, flipping halfway through for even cooking.
  8. Once done, remove fillets and let them rest for a couple of minutes before serving.

Notes

Try serving with a side of coleslaw or a fresh salad for a balanced meal.
