- Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
- Trim the stems of the artichokes and remove the tough outer leaves. Cut about 1 inch off the top of each artichoke.
- In a small bowl, mix olive oil, garlic powder, lemon juice, salt, and pepper.
- Brush the mixture generously over the artichokes, ensuring the oil gets between the leaves.
- Place the artichokes in the air fryer basket, cut side up.
- Cook for 20 minutes, flipping halfway through for even cooking.
- Check for doneness; the leaves should pull away easily. If needed, cook for an additional 5 minutes.
- Remove from the air fryer, let cool slightly, and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese if desired.

Serve with a dipping sauce like melted butter or aioli for added flavor.
