- 12 oz spaghetti
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup milk
- 8 oz Velveeta cheese, cubed
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp Italian seasoning
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- 1/4 tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
- Chopped fresh parsley, for garnish (optional)
- Extra shredded mozzarella or Parmesan for topping (optional)
Instructions
- Cook the spaghetti according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the ground beef and cook until browned. Drain excess fat and set aside.
- In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté minced garlic until fragrant.
- Stir in heavy cream and milk, then add Velveeta cheese, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, Italian seasoning, salt, black pepper, and crushed red pepper flakes. Cook until the cheeses are melted and the sauce is smooth.
- Add the cooked ground beef to the sauce and mix well.
- Add the cooked spaghetti to the skillet and toss until well coated with the sauce.
- Serve hot, garnished with chopped parsley and extra shredded mozzarella or Parmesan if desired.
Notes
- For extra flavor, toast the garlic lightly before adding the cream.
- Substitute ground turkey or chicken for a lighter version.
- This dish pairs well with garlic bread and a fresh green salad.
