- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 4–6 slices of Swiss cheese
- 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 2 cups dry stuffing mix (or seasoned breadcrumbs)
- 1/4 cup butter, melted
- Optional garnish: chopped parsley or fresh thyme
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9×13 baking dish.
- Arrange chicken breasts in a single layer in the dish. Season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
- Place 1–2 slices of Swiss cheese on top of each chicken breast.
- In a bowl, mix the cream of chicken soup and sour cream until smooth. Pour evenly over the chicken.
- Sprinkle the dry stuffing mix over the top of the casserole. Drizzle melted butter evenly over the stuffing.
- Bake uncovered for 35–40 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the top is golden and crispy (internal temp should be 165°F).
- Let rest for 5 minutes, garnish if desired, and serve warm.

- Try different cheeses like provolone, mozzarella, or gouda.
- Add veggies like sautéed mushrooms, broccoli, or spinach.
- Use rotisserie chicken for quicker prep.
- For gluten-free, use gluten-free stuffing or rice crackers.
- Add a little Dijon mustard for a tangy twist.
