Instructions
- Step 1: Preparing the Cake Batter
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9-inch round cake pan and line the bottom with parchment paper.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy (3-5 minutes).
- Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in vanilla extract.
- Alternately add the dry ingredients and milk to the wet ingredients, beginning and ending with dry.
- Fold in the drained pineapple and chopped pistachios gently.
- Step 2: Baking the Cake
- Pour batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Let the cake cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Step 3: Finishing Touches
- Once cooled, sprinkle with chopped pistachios and a dusting of powdered sugar.
- Slice and serve with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.
