Homemade Orange Creamsicle Bars Recipe

  • 2 cups fresh orange juice (about 45 oranges)
  • 1 tablespoon orange zest
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup whole milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. In a medium mixing bowl, whisk together the orange juice, orange zest, and granulated sugar until the sugar dissolves completely.
  2. In a separate bowl, mix the heavy cream, milk, and vanilla extract until well combined.
  3. Slowly add the orange mixture to the cream mixture, whisking continuously to create a smooth, homogenous liquid.
  4. Pour the mixture evenly into popsicle molds, leaving a small gap at the top to allow for expansion when freezing.
  5. Insert popsicle sticks into the molds and freeze for at least 4-6 hours, or until completely set.
  6. To remove the creamsicle bars, briefly run warm water over the outside of the molds to loosen them. Serve immediately and enjoy!
