Ingredients
Scale
- 1 batch of your favorite brownies (boxed mix or homemade)
- Optional: chocolate chips for extra fudginess
- 12–15 chocolate sandwich cookies (like Oreos), split in half
- Candy eyes (store-bought or DIY with icing)
- Chocolate frosting or melted chocolate (for “gluing” the wings and eyes)
- Optional: red gel for fangs or sprinkles for fun
Instructions
- Bake the brownies: Prepare and bake brownies according to your recipe or box instructions. Let cool completely before cutting. Use a round cookie cutter or knife to cut out circles (or leave them square).
- Prepare the bat wings: Twist chocolate sandwich cookies apart and scrape off the filling. Gently break each half into two curved “wings.”
- Assemble the bats: Attach two wings to the sides of each brownie using a small dab of frosting or melted chocolate. Press two candy eyes onto the top center. Add fangs, sprinkle eyebrows, or other fun decorations if desired.
- Let set: Allow the frosting or chocolate to set before serving. Chill for 10–15 minutes if needed.
- Serve and enjoy: Arrange bat brownies on a Halloween-themed platter and enjoy!
Notes
- Let brownies cool completely before cutting for clean shapes.
- Use store-bought brownie bites for a no-bake shortcut.
- Prep wings and eyes ahead of time for faster assembly.
- Work quickly with melted chocolate before it hardens.
- Store in a single layer to preserve decorations.
