Ingredients
Scale
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup
- 1 package dry onion soup mix
- 1 box Stove Top stuffing, prepared as directed on the box
- ½ cup water or milk (optional, for extra creamy sauce)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Place the chicken breasts in the prepared baking dish. Spread a generous layer of cream of chicken soup over the chicken breasts, then sprinkle the dry onion soup mix evenly over the soup.
- Prepare the Stove Top stuffing as directed on the package. Spoon the stuffing evenly over the top of the soup and chicken layers.
- Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for about 1 hour. For thinner chicken breasts, check them earlier to avoid overcooking. Remove the foil and bake for another 10–15 minutes to brown the stuffing.
- Let it rest for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
For extra flavor, consider adding sliced mushrooms or green beans under the soup layer. For a creamier texture, mix an additional half can of soup with ½ cup milk.
